Job summary

Divergent in the United States seeks a Manufacturing Engineer, Turbojet Engines, to bridge design and production for turbojet propulsion products. You will make engine designs manufacturable, mature processes, and ensure components meet flight-critical quality.

You will lead new engine concepts from prototype through qualification and repeatable production, with ownership of manufacturing programs and cross-functional guidance across design, materials, and test teams.

Qualifications

• US export controls access required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
• 2+ years (Engineer II) or 5+ years (Senior) of manufacturing engineering in aerospace/defense with gas turbine exposure.
• Hands-on precision machining of difficult alloys, including 5-axis machining.
• Proficiency in CAD and strong GD&T, tolerances, and inspection methods (CMM/optical).
• Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems.
• Proven track record taking complex hardware from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing end-to-end for turbojet development and production programs.
• Lead manufacturing processes across rotating hardware, hot- and cold-section components, and final engine assembly.
• Develop, implement, and refine scalable turbojet component processes.
• Drive yield, cycle time, and first-pass quality improvements through data-driven methods.
• Lead new engine designs through factory with rapid iteration and validation.
