Job summary

Divergent is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Turbojet Engines to bridge design and production. You will make engine designs manufacturable, mature processes, and ensure each component and assembly meets flight-critical reliability standards.

Depending on experience, this role may be at Engineer II or Senior Engineer level, with opportunities to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance improvements across the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Materials Engineering
• 2+ years (Engineer II) or 5+ years (Senior) in aerospace/defense manufacturing engineering
• Experience machining nickel alloys (Inconel 718), titanium, stainless steels; includes 5-axis
• CAD/ GD&T and metrology (CMM, optical, surface) proficiency

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing end to end for turbojet development and production programs; lead technical manufacturing efforts across rotating and static hardware, final engine assembly.
• Develop, implement, and refine scalable processes for turbojet components; drive yield, cycle time, and first-pass quality improvements.
• Lead new engine designs through factory, validate, and balance performance, cost, and producibility with Design for Manufacturability.
• Ensure AS9100/Nadcap quality compliance; lead nonconformance investigations and corrective actions.
