Job summary
Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine America, Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer to support turbocharger development for OEM customers. You will collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Sr. Application Engineer to align with company goals.
You will lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and visit customer sites to provide technical support, reporting findings and coordinating launches with MHIET/MTA and related allies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- 5 years automotive Tier 1 supplier or powertrain OEM experience.
- 3 years project management experience required.
- Familiarity with IATF16949 quality control principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- 1D/3D simulation experience or knowledge welcomed.
- CAD experience is a plus and knowledge of GD&T/DFSS is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Manage development of turbochargers for OEM customers.
- Coordinate with Engineering Manager and Sr. Application Engineer.
- Lead cross-functional teams to maintain project schedules.
- Visit customer locations to provide technical support.
- Create engineering and investigation reports.
- Coordinate product launches with related entities using APQP.
- Document design data and perform post-test evaluations.
