Job summary

PROPWR in Midland, Texas, seeks a Turbine Operator to oversee operation and maintenance of turbine packages in power generation. You will monitor operations, perform routine checks, and respond to abnormal asset performance to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous output.

Daily duties include reading electrical and control drawings, coordinating with the Remote Operations Center for troubleshooting, maintaining accurate logs, and supporting installation and commissioning of generation assets.

Qualifications

• Gas turbine operations experience is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read electrical and control drawings.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work 12+ hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically able to lift up to 80 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain gas turbine packages for power generation.
• Monitor control panels, gauges, and instruments for performance.
• Coordinate with Remote Operations Center for fault-finding and troubleshooting.
• Verify operational readiness after shutdowns and assist turbine readiness evaluations.
• Maintain logs and records of operations and maintenance activities.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts on equipment and interfaces.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of power generation assets.
• Perform visual inspections and walk-around checks.
