Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, PA is seeking a punctual, detail-oriented Equipment Technician to tune and repair guests' ski and snowboard gear. You will ensure bindings are mounted, tested, and safe, and assist guests with equipment needs in a fast-paced mountain environment.

Ideal candidates have skiing or snowboarding experience, are 18+, and can work flexible weeks including holidays and weekends. A friendly, professional demeanor and reliable attendance are essential for guest

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Skiing and/or Snowboarding experience required.
• Previous tuning experience preferred.
• Must be available to work a flexible workweek including holidays and weekends.
• Timely and reliable attendance is essential.
• Professional, friendly personality is essential for interaction with guests.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate equipment repair needs for guests.
• Tuning and repair of guest and Blue Mountain equipment.
• Mounting, repair, and testing of ski bindings.
• Follow directives and operate independently.
• Ability to pass binding certification tests.
• Perform tune and repairs and finish with Montana tune machine.
• Report operational and equipment challenges to Technical Manager.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment.
• Return all equipment to correct location.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Clean and maintain machines, benches, and hand tools nightly.
• Safely operate all equipment and tools.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to provide a guest with an experience that is beyond their expectations and creates a guest for life. This individual will be responsible for the tuning and repairing of guests’ and Blue Mountain Resort equipment to give our guests the best possible experience while skiing and snowboarding on the mountain.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Skiing and/or Snowboarding experience required
• Previous tuning experience preferred
• Must be available to work a flexible workweek (including holidays and weekends - our busiest times)
• Timely and reliable attendance is essential, even in inclement weather
• Professional, friendly personality is essential for interaction with guests

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Determine appropriate equipment repair needs for guests
• Tuning and repair of guest and Blue Mountain equipment
• Mounting, repair, and testing of ski bindings
• Follow directives and operates independently
• Ability to pass binding certification tests
