ISMIRA Agency is actively recruiting for the Head Housekeeper on TUI River Cruises ships. The role oversees the housekeeping department operations, ensuring guest cabins, public areas and crew spaces are spotless and well-organized.

You will lead the team, onboard new staff, and monitor supplies and safety procedures on board. The position requires EU experience or eligibility, English at B2 level, and the ability to thrive in a multicultural maritime environment.

ISMIRA Agency actively recruiting for position HEAD HOUSEKEEPER for TUI Cruises!

TUI River Cruises designed as boutique 'floating hotels' with a maximum of 155-190 guests, offering an intimate and relaxed atmosphere with a focus on immersive destination experiences. TUI Aria - adult only, modern & beautiful river ship, the largest in European fleet.

The Head Housekeeper is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the entire Housekeeping Department according to the company rules and regulations. This includes the responsibility for the administrative function of all Housekeeping crew, and the general cleanliness of the ship.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the smooth organization and operation of the housekeeping department.
• Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of all areas, including guest cabins, public areas, and crew spaces.
• Assist housekeeping team with guest cabin cleaning and service, including turndown service and embarkation setup.
• Welcome and greet guests professionally according to company standards.
• Monitor distribution of items to cabins and ensure proper storage practices.
• Create purchase orders and monitor delivery controls for supplies and equipment.
• Manage uniforms, delivery and returns, condition.
• Involve in onboarding of new housekeeping staff.
• Evaluate housekeeping team performance, providing feedback and performance action plans when required.
• Ensure the team is familiar with all docking locations and shore excursions.
• Review guest feedback and address housekeeping-related issues.
• Conduct regular training sessions with the housekeeping team.
• Manage all guest and crew laundry operations, including crew uniforms.
• Ensure correct handling of all equipment, machinery, and chemicals.
• Ensure the department fully understands designated safety roles, duties, and in-port manning

Requirements:

• Age 18+ from EU and also all nationalities we work with
• Professional experience in Housekeeping field
• Ship experience preferred
• No visible tattoos = no aggressive tattoos.
• For non-EU candidates, a German Visa D will be required.
• Safety certificates and US Visa are NOT needed.
• Language English B2
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, ordering, and inventory control.
• Able to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Comfortable working in multicultural environments.
• Highly organized, disciplined, and dependable.
• Strong problem-solving and complaint management skills.
