Your role:

Set-up, adjust, and perform minor repairs on complex production equipment. May also operate equipment after set-up or monitor several machines for needed adjustments.

You'll be offered extensive training, and the tight-knit working environment within the Manufacturing team means employees get additional training from their direct manager and peers when needed.

What you'll be doing:
  • Performs tasks such as checking measurements, performing die adjustments, visual inspections, cleaning equipment and area, making labels, packaging and labeling rolls, palletizing, using batch trace, wrapping/moving finished product, monitoring process, completing changeovers, screen changes, die cleaning, updating batch boards, discarding scrap, operating forklift, creating/maintaining/verifying documentation, and covering other operators for breaks.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for quality and productivity of assigned line(s).
What you'll bring:
  • Basic computer skills, basic math skills, ability to read and understand job instructions, and basic knowledge of tools.
  • Ability to write legibly and use a numbering system.
  • May be required to operate forklift based on specific line responsibilities.
  • Understanding and obeying all safety rules; ability to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Willingness to work overtime on weekends and off shifts to cover absences.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of TABE and 4-Cast training before May 2010, or a minimum score of Silver on the Career Readiness Certificate, or BaxTech/SWAT as alternatives.
  • Industrial/Mechanical experience and knowledge of extrusion preferred.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills with all personnel levels.
Physical / Safety Requirements
  • Walking, lifting (minimum 35 lbs.), overhead lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, stretching, squatting, pulling, reaching, standing, climbing, carrying.
  • Must pass forklift physical.
  • Work around heat and fumes.
  • Overtime, including nights and weekends, may be required.
  • Use of hands and fingers for manipulation of equipment.
  • Extended standing and walking.

Compensation for this position is $20.50 per hour.
