Job summary

TIGA, a Tetra Tech Company, in Lafayette, LA, seeks an instrumentation technician to fabricate and install stainless steel tubing with precision in a panel shop environment.

You will read P&ID and fabrication drawings, adhere to safety standards, and contribute to high-quality, efficient operations. Weekend/overtime may be required and a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of instrumentation experience.
• Technical certification or diploma in instrumentation and pneumatic systems preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of pneumatic devices, valves, actuators, and control systems.
• Knowledge of PPE equipment required for the tasks.
• Dedicated to constant improvement and attention to detail.
• Needs to live within a 30-mile radius of New Iberia, LA office.

Work Conditions

• May be required to work on weekends and/or overtime when necessary.
• The position will work primarily in a panel shop and fabrication facility. Subject to time pressures and constraints and is also dependent on input from others. Need to be fit for duty.
• May require standing, bending, or lifting heavy equipment during the installation and maintenance process.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety goggles, gloves, and steel-toe boots are mandatory.
• Must have a valid driver's license and will need to meet the company's insurers driving policy requirements.
• Subject to a background check, as well as drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations.
