Job summary

Atkore International seeks a Large Mill Operator for the 3rd shift in Harvey, IL. You will operate, set up and adjust tube mill equipment and tooling, ensuring quality per work orders.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment; lean manufacturing exposure is a plus. You will follow 5S, complete daily paperwork, and maintain safety standards.

Base pay is $29.89/hour with a $1.00/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in steel processing preferred.
• Lean manufacturing or business system experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up and adjust Tube Mill equipment and tooling.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace following 5S and wearing PPE.
• Ensure quality per work order specifications.
• Complete daily paperwork on time.
• Maintain coating and induction equipment.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of the work area.
• Fill out hour-by-hour board.
