Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Tube Mill Operator for 2nd shift in Harvey, IL. You will operate, set up and adjust tube mill equipment, ensuring product quality per work orders and maintaining a safe, clean 5S workplace.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years' experience in fast-paced steel manufacturing, with a background in lean manufacturing or business systems being a plus. This role requires punctual daily paperwork and adherence to PPE standards.

Tube Mill Operator - 2nd Shift

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for an experienced Tube Mill Operators to be based out of Harvey, IL, located approximately 30 miles south of Downtown Chicago. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for operating, setting up and adjusting tube mill equipment and tooling.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, processing steel. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace by following 5S, Standard Work and wearing all required PPE.


• Set up Tube Mill.


• Adjust and operate all components areas of Tube Mill.

• Complete daily paperwork on time.

What you’ll bring:
