Job summary

Technique is seeking a Tube Laser Technician for our Jackson, Michigan facility to manage material flow and operate laser tube cutting equipment. You will read blueprints, measure parts with micrometers and calipers, and coordinate with the Tubing Manager to ensure quality and on-time production.

The role is full-time, on-site, with safety compliance and opportunities to improve processes within the tubing department. Prior experience with E2 MRP and forklift/crane operations is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred in STEM or technical trades.
• Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools to inspect own work.
• Experience with overhead crane and forklift operation in material handling.
• Familiarity with MRP systems (e.g., E2) and laser tube cutting equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection of materials and components for assembly orders.
• Manage and organize inventory to maintain traceability and FIFO workflows.
• Operate, program, and maintain laser tube cutting equipment; adjust laser parameters as needed.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation for each job and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
