Job summary

Amerant Bank NA is seeking an AMTI TSMO Associate in Coral Gables, FL to provide operational support and exceptional client service to the bank’s affiliated broker-dealer and registered investment advisor. The role also offers technical support for escalated issues within the department.

The position requires 4–6 years of experience in back/middle office processing, FINRA SIE, FINRA 99, and strong MS Office skills, with bilingual ability preferred to serve internal and external clients.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of relevant experience processing back and middle office requests coming from Wealth Management and Broker Dealers.
• Bachelor’s or higher education in economics/finance/business administration/engineering with preference for finance-focused master’s degree.
• FINRA SIE required; FINRA Series 99 required; FINRA Series 7 preferred.
• Strong analytical, business communication and customer service skills; ability to work under pressure.
• Extensive investments and securities knowledge; proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Fully bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor the department, allocating work and reviewing the work quality of others.
• Serve as escalation point to identify, investigate and resolve complex client account problems.
• Coordinate training needs with managers and map development plans for teams and individuals.
• Provide technical support for trade errors, corrections and/or cancellations while limiting market risk.
• Perform investigations of pre-settlement discrepancies and ensure settlement of fixed income trades.
• Open new brokerage and advisory accounts and oversee onboarding including asset transfers.
