POSITION TITLE: A/V & Technology Systems Technician - FT

NH – ($19.57 – $27 Hourly)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The A/V & Technology Systems Technician – Full-Time provides hands-on technical support for events and venue operations by conducting venues start up and assessments, performing routine preventative, diagnostic, and corrective maintenance of venue technology systems. The position applies intermediate-level technical knowledge of audio/video systems, electronic security systems, network infrastructure, and low-voltage systems. Handles trouble calls, completes special projects and venue work as assigned by Manager.
The Technician responds to trouble calls, completes special projects, and performs venue-related work as assigned by the Manager. The Technician also assists with the oversight of part-time technicians and contractors, supports operational planning, maintains accurate technical records, and contributes to process improvements that enhance service quality, efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Sr. Facility Manager – Technology/Network

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1. Install, configure, program, test, and troubleshooting venue technology systems, A/V systems, network systems, structured cabling, CCTV/VMS, access control, VoIP, television, and broadcast systems.
• 2. Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semiannual, and annual inspections and preventive maintenance on technical systems, including audio, video, electronic security, telecommunications, and network systems.
• 3. Provide Tier 1 IT and network support to staff, including hardware, software, connectivity, and user-support issues.
• 4. Identify, diagnose, and correct malfunctions involving low-voltage wiring, connected devices, and related technology equipment.
• 5. Enter required information into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and document the completion of inspections, corrective actions, and repairs. Record parts required to complete repairs and maintain accurate technology inventories, logs, service records, and related documentation to verify software currency, equipment condition, maintenance activities, and technical support history.
• 6. Use technical drawings, manuals, specifications, system documentation, and records of previous failures and solutions to diagnose problems and implement immediate and long-term corrective actions that improve system reliability.
• 7. Assist with technology projects, system modifications, equipment installations, upgrades, and other technical initiatives as directed.
• 8. Support events by providing onsite A/V, IT, telecommunications, broadcast, and other technical setup and operational support.
• 9. Promote teamwork, service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement through employee initiatives and daily operations.
• 10. Stay current with technology trends, industry standards, and best practices through continuing education, training, trade shows, professional associations, and other industry resources.
• 11. Follow OSHA regulations, ADA standards, cybersecurity guidance, applicable electrical and safety codes, and Tampa Sports Authority policies to maintain a safe, secure, and respectful work environment.
• 12. Perform other related duties and special projects assigned.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• 1. Extensive hands-on knowledge of A/V technology, CCTV/VMS, electronic security and access control, computer systems, networking, structured cabling, low-voltage electrical systems, basic electrical principles, and applicable National Electrical Code requirements.
• 2. Ability to read and interpret building diagrams, technical drawings, system documentation, and event setup instructions.
• 3. Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate professionally in English.
• 4. Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods; lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing 50 pounds or more; and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
• 5. Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to maintain a strong public image while interacting with clients, employees, vendors, and guests.
• 6. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, on-call rotations, and urgent response situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1. High school diploma or GED required.
• 2. Valid driver's license required.
• 3. Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: A/V systems, computer systems, networking, access control, CCTV/VMS, structured cabling, telecommunications, or related technology systems.
• 4. Equivalent combinations of education, training, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1. Completion of a two-year technical education program in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2. Prior experience supporting technology operations in a large venue, stadium, arena, convention center, entertainment facility, or public facility environment.
• 3. One to three years of basic troubleshooting experience involving A/V, network, security, telecommunications, or other entertainment technology systems.
• 4. Thorough knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking concepts, network infrastructure, and technology troubleshooting.
• 5. Experience supporting live events, venue operations, broadcast systems, or other time-sensitive technical environments.
• 6. Relevant industry certifications, licenses, or manufacturer training in A/V, networking, cybersecurity, electronic security, low-voltage systems, or related technologies.
