Job summary

J T in Annapolis Junction, MD, is seeking a Senior IT System Administrator with active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to monitor, maintain, and secure enterprise systems. The role covers patch management, incident resolution, and documentation, with Tier 2 support for escalated issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
High School Diploma / GED with 15+ years of relevant IT/systems administration experience.
Must hold at least one IAT Level 1 compliant certification.

Responsibilities

Monitor, manage, and maintain enterprise servers, operating systems, and key business applications.
Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes per change management procedures.
Perform routine system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
Provide advanced (Tier 2) technical support for escalated issues from help desk.
Diagnose and resolve complex system, application, and network-related incidents.
Install, configure, and deploy new systems, hardware, applications, and management tools.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and procedures.
Ensure systems adhere to security policies and federal compliance standards.
Prepare routine reports on system health and incidents for leadership.
