Job summary

Peraton seeks a Mid-level Network/Desktop Administrator to support and maintain enterprise network and end-user computing infrastructure in a hybrid role. Responsibilities span configuring Cisco switches to imaging endpoints, with strong focus on security baselines and STIG compliance.

The candidate will manage Active Directory, VDI, and patch management while delivering responsive end-user support. The role requires TS/SCI with Poly, a technical degree, and hands-on experience across the stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 10 years of system administration experience.
• An active TS/SCI w/ Poly is required.
• 3-5 years of combined experience in network administration (mid-level) including Cisco switches on IOS-XE and NX-OS.
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals: VLANs, subnetting, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and switching concepts.
• Familiarity with security baselines and STIG compliance.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco switches running IOS-XE and NX-OS.
• Implement and manage port security.
• Support enterprise network fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, DHCP/DNS, Layer 2/Layer3.
• Support and maintain VDI/thin-client infrastructure and endpoint provisioning.
• Perform endpoint imaging and deployment via PXE boot.
• Administer Windows 10/11 endpoints and lifecycle support.
• Execute patch management and remediation.
• Use PuTTY/PowerShell/Windows CMD for diagnostics and automation.
• Assist with Active Directory tasks and Group Policy awareness.
• Document configurations and changes; follow standards.
• Coordinate across teams on cross-functional dependencies.
