Job summary

Peraton seeks a Mid-level Network/Desktop Administrator to support enterprise infrastructure in Maryland. You’ll configure Cisco switches (IOS-XE/NX-OS), manage VLANs, imaging endpoints, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 while delivering responsive user support.

Responsibilities span network and desktop admin, patch management, AD tasks, VDI, and deployment tooling. Strong customer service and ability to work independently are required; active TS/SCI w/Poly is a listed eligibility criterion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with strong IT background.
• 5+ years of combined experience in network administration and desktop support.
• Experience with Cisco switches on IOS-XE and NX-OS, VLANs, subnetting, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
• Experience administering VDI/thin-client environments and endpoint imaging.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco switches running IOS-XE and NX-OS.
• Implement and manage port security and remediation.
• Support enterprise network fundamentals including TCP/IP, DHCP/DNS, and Layer 2/3 issues.
• Support VDI/thin-client infrastructure, endpoint provisioning, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Perform endpoint imaging and deployment via PXE and tooling.
• Administer Windows 10/11 endpoints, including configuration and lifecycle support.
• Execute patch management and remediation per IAVA and STIG baselines.
• Use PuTTY, PowerShell, and Windows CMD for configuration and diagnostics.
• Manage Active Directory users/groups and GPO awareness.
• Document configurations, changes, and procedures.
