Job summary

Akina Inc, located in Linthicum, Maryland, is seeking a Systems Administrator 3 to support secure enclave development networks. The role requires TS/SCI – Polygraph clearance and hands-on administration of Windows servers, Active Directory, VMware, and related technologies.

You will develop and document SOPs, implement security controls, manage accounts and access, and ensure data redundancy and system recoverability while collaborating on a small, autonomous team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 15 years of experience as a System Administrator, OR High school diploma and 20 years’ experience as a System Administrator.
• Proven experience maintaining Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with Linux Server Administration and VMware/ESXi environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability.
• Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.
• Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies.
• Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
• Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot systems and servers.
• Comply with organization systems administration standard operating procedures.
• Implement and enforce local network usage policies and procedures.
• Manage system and server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
• Monitor and maintain system and server configurations.
• Perform repairs on faulty system and server hardware.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline

High school diploma with 20 years’ experience as a System Administrator
