Akina, Inc. in Linthicum, Maryland is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to perform cybersecurity assessments of DoD systems, applying an Offensive Cyber Operations mindset to Defensive Cyber Operations activities.

Responsibilities include vulnerability assessments, V&V of security requirements, and integrating security into acquisition documents, while engaging customers to improve mission outcomes. TS/SCI-Poly clearance required.

Qualifications

• Zero Trust experience required.
• Cybersecurity certifications (Sec+, CISSP, CEH) preferred.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-160.
• Familiarity with INCOSE lifecycle systems engineering processes.
• Experience with large-scale DoD systems.

Description:

Perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DOD systems, utilizing an OCO (Offensive Cyber Operations) mindset to perform DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities.

Perform long term, in depth vulnerability assessments leveraging systems engineering principals and knowledge, utilizing any available information, including architecture diagrams, build specifications, design documentation, and systems architecture.

Perform independent verification & validation of security requirements and capabilities.

Incorporate systems resiliency and security engineering concepts into acquisition documents (e.g., Performance Work Statements).

Perform technical evaluations of contractor proposals for systems resiliency, security, and cyber security considerations.

Salary Range: $187k-$229k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
