Job summary

J&T Business Consulting in Maryland is seeking a System Administrator Level 2 (TS/SCI with Polygraph) to install, monitor, and troubleshoot telecommunications and network infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. You will maintain system availability, respond to incidents, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure continuous operations.

Required: TS/SCI with polygraph, strong problem-solving ability, and NOC or mission-critical system experience.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required.
Experience in network operations center (NOC) or systems administration is preferred.
Ability to work in a shift-based mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and network infrastructure.
Provide 24/7 system and infrastructure monitoring, including alerting, logging, ticketing, and reporting.
Perform administrative support functions related to system operations and maintenance.
Coordinate with ISP personnel, network operations staff, and customer support teams for incident response.
Provide notifications and updates regarding system events and outages.
Perform router and switch updates to meet security and operational requirements.
Troubleshoot system issues and support incident resolution.
Maintain documentation of system status, changes, and incidents.
Support operational readiness of mission-critical systems.
