Job summary

CDW LLC. is seeking a senior Splunk engineer to design, implement, and manage Splunk environments across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures. You will work with stakeholders to identify data sources, onboard data, and ensure reliable, scalable analytics.

Responsibilities include upgrades, performance tuning, and building dashboards and alerts for operations and security. A TS/SCI clearance and MD onsite work are required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on Splunk administration, implementation, and data analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Splunk environments across on‑premise and cloud infrastructures.
• Perform upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and security.
• Monitor Splunk system health and troubleshoot performance, configuration, and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with application owners, network engineers, and stakeholders to identify relevant data sources.
• Develop and maintain data onboarding processes, including parsing, indexing, and normalization of logs and metrics.
• Write and optimize regular expressions, data transforms, and event types for accurate data ingestion.
• Create complex Splunk queries (SPL) to analyze data and extract insights.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and alerts aligned with operational, security, and business requirements.
