Job summary

GCI is seeking a Software Engineer to advance mission-critical data analytics and software development initiatives. The role focuses on Core Java, LDAP, SSH, Linux administration, and secure REST API delivery within a secured US environment.

The ideal candidate has deep Java experience, strong PKI and cryptography knowledge, and the ability to work across backend and frontend interfaces while ensuring code quality and robust security practices.

Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of Core Java (NOT Spring Boot) and related Java ecosystem components.
• Experience with LDAP authentication/authorization and custom LDAP-based solutions.
• Strong Linux system administration and command-line skills.
• Experience w/ Java REST API development and secure API consumption.
• Background in MariaDB/MySQL and JDBC usage without heavy frameworks.
• Web/app deployment on Apache Tomcat and Tomcat connectors.
