Job summary

GCI is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute across data analytics and software development initiatives. You will work on front-end SPA projects using JavaScript/TypeScript, and on back-end services with REST, Java, JDBC, and Oracle Database.

The role emphasizes DevOps, CI/CD, and AWS cloud practices within an Agile team. The candidate will translate software requirements into scalable solutions, participate in the product lifecycle, and collaborate to improve team performance.

Qualifications

• Front-end SPA with JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS and HTML.
• Back-end services using REST, Java, JDBC and Oracle Database.
• DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows with AWS.
• Translate requirements into maintainable solutions within existing frameworks.
• Product lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance.

Required Skills:

• Front End Skills: Salesforce, Single Page Applications (JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML), jquery, jquery UI.
• Back End Skills: REST, Java, JDBC, Oracle Database.
• Build Tools: git, tactical and strategic improvements to large scale Java products.
• Documented Experience with DevOps, CI/CD Routine.
• Documented Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS).
• Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks.
• Implement the product's lifecycle: Design, development, quality, deployment and maintenance.
• Develop and adhere to best-practices for developing applications.
• Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Experience working in an Agile development environments

Desired Skills:

• Documented Experience with Amazon Web Services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, etc.).
• Documented Experience with Jenkins,GitHub.
• Excellent skills in RDBMS DB Schema design and SQL development.

A candidate must be a US Citizen and requires an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
