Job summary

GCI seeks a hands-on Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and debug complex software for Windows, Android, and Linux platforms. You will work in an Agile environment, delivering robust solutions with little supervision.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of software development experience, proficiency in Java, C#, Python, and Bash, and a track record of building user-facing applications. A US citizen able to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 8 or more years of software development experience.
• Experience on Windows, Android and Linux platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, Bash.
• Experience creating user-facing applications and interfaces.
• Self-starter with ability to handle competing priorities with limited supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new software applications and systems.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements to existing applications.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and provide customer support for software.
• Act as Configuration Manager for software and hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment.
• Suggest continuous improvement and advance capabilities.
