Job summary

ABSC is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared Software Engineer to join the DIA-NDOC DTP contract. You will develop Python-based microservices and back-end capabilities for real-time and batch data processing, working with engineers, architects, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable software.

The role emphasizes containerized Linux environments, Git workflows, and Agile development practices while maintaining a strong focus on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field with four or more years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
• Experience with containerization technologies.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting software in a Linux environment.
• Experience using Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned development tasks while collaborating effectively with a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain Python-based microservices in accordance with established requirements and design specifications.
• Develop and maintain Elasticsearch integrations supporting real-time and batch data indexing, search, and retrieval.
• Write and execute unit and integration tests to improve software quality, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, sprint planning, and software development activities.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and operational issues using logs, metrics, and observability tools.
• Support containerized application development and deployment in Linux environments.
• Use Git and collaborative development workflows to manage source code and changes.
• Manage assigned development priorities, deliverables, risks, and deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable mission capabilities.
