Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions is seeking a personnel with Active TS/SCI w/Polygraph for a full-time system engineer role. The position involves daily Linux/Windows troubleshooting, OpenStack management across multi-region deployments, and IaC via Ansible and Puppet.

Cross-platform VM lifecycle oversight and performance monitoring are core duties. Ideal candidates will have OpenStack experience, Red Hat OS mastery (RH6–RH9), experience with Grafana/Naemon, and scripting in Python and Bash.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 5 additional years of system engineering experience may substitute for a degree.
• OpenStack experience is required.
• Experience with Grafana and Naemon is required.

Responsibilities

• Daily troubleshooting of Linux, Windows, Red Hat 6, 7, 8, and 9 Operating Systems.
• Provide Ubuntu support.
• Oversee cross-platform VM lifecycles across Linux hypervisor environments; optimize resources.
