Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. seeks a senior System Engineer with Active TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance to troubleshoot Linux and OpenStack environments, manage hypervisors, and automate daily tasks. The role includes OpenStack multi-region deployments, IaC with Ansible and Puppet, and health monitoring using Grafana/Naemon.

Qualifications

14 years experience as a system engineer
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (5 additional years of experience may substitute for a degree)

Responsibilities

Daily troubleshooting of Linux, Windows, Red Hat OS versions
Provide Ubuntu support
Oversee cross-platform VM lifecycles in Linux environments
Maintain and manage multiple OpenStack regions
Troubleshoot OpenStack platforms
Write IaC using Ansible and Puppet
Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate tasks
Manage YUM repositories (GOTS)
Use Naemon and Grafana for health monitoring and performance analysis
