Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking a qualified Locksmith to support Fort Meade facilities, performing lock installation, repair, re-keying, and access control services for government facilities. The role emphasizes strict key control, security procedures, and coordination with government representatives.

Qualified applicants will have a minimum of three years in locksmith services, a GSA certification, and experience with secure facility hardware and electronic locks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of locksmith experience in government or secure facilities.
• GSA Certified Locksmith.
• Experience with GSA-approved locks, electronic locks, key control systems, and secure facility hardware.
• Certifications to work on specialized locks may be required.
• Experience using CMMS or work order systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform locksmith services for Government facilities, including installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of locks and hardware.
• Install lock cores, re-core and re-pin locks, duplicate keys, and replace lock cores as required.
• Change combinations for safes and electronic locks; support entry control devices.
• Provide emergency access support when keys or combos are unavailable.
• Maintain and repair card key locks and access control components.
• Coordinate locksmith service requests with Government representatives and site leadership.
• Update, close out service orders in CMMS; maintain tool inventory and parts.
