Job summary
Leidos is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to support mission-critical Scientific & Technical Intelligence (S&T I) systems at the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) in Suitland, MD. This role provides advanced Linux, cybersecurity, and enterprise infrastructure support within a dynamic classified environment enabling engineering analysis, modeling, and high-performance computing.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years in Linux administration, active TS/SCI clearance, and DoD 8570 IAT
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification or higher or ability to obtain within 30 days of offer.
- RH certification (RHCA preferred) or ability to obtain within 30 days of offer.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting expertise.
Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize Linux server environments (RHEL & RPM-based).
- Monitor, patch, harden, and tune performance.
- Implement IAVA/IAVB remediation and document actions.
- Support VMware, NAS/NFS/CIFS, automation tools, and cluster services.
- Maintain HBSS, ACAS, Trellix, and other security tools.
- Manage firewall rules, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Troubleshoot NetApp storage systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
