Job summary

Accrete is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) Mid to secure AI and data systems in government and enterprise environments. You will collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, security teams, data scientists, and government stakeholders to translate security requirements into practical engineering solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on security engineering experience, knowledge of RMF/ATO processes, secure software development, cloud security, and DevSecOps practices

Qualifications

• Active TS//SCI clearance and Counterintelligence or Lifestyle Polygraph.
• 3+ years in information systems security engineering, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, CE, IS, or related discipline from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Apply security engineering across the system development lifecycle.
• Define and document system security requirements and controls.
• Analyze architectures for risks, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
• Develop ATO-ready security architectures for AI, data, cloud, and enterprise systems.
• Integrate security controls into designs with engineering teams.
• Support RMF activities, vulnerability remediation, and continuous monitoring.
• Maintain system security documentation and artifacts.
• Evaluate changes for security impact and review new tech.
