Job summary

Accrete is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) Mid to secure AI and data platforms across government and enterprise environments. You will bridge software engineering, cybersecurity, and government requirements to implement security controls from design through deployment.

The role requires hands-on technical work, deep understanding of modern cloud environments, and the ability to translate stringent security requirements into practical engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Active TS//SCI clearance and lifestyle polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Experience with NIST SP 800-53 and RMF/ATO processes.
• Experience with IAM, authentication, authorization, encryption, logging, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Apply security engineering throughout SDLC.
• Define and document security requirements and controls.
• Analyze architectures for risks and attack vectors.
• Develop ATO-ready security architectures for AI, data, cloud, and enterprise systems.
• Incorporate security controls into designs and implementations.
• Support security assessments, risk assessments, and remediation.
• Maintain system security documentation and artifacts.
• Evaluate security impact of proposed changes.
• Support reviews of new technologies, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Ensure alignment with government security requirements.
