Job summary

Assertive Professionals is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to support our National Security Customer near Hanover, MD. The role designs and tests ICs and hardware, including firmware, for signal processing applications and reverse engineering efforts.

The position offers a strong compensation package including a salary in the six figures, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, a $1,200 annual compliance bonus, and comprehensive benefits such as PTO, 401k match, profit sharing, life insurance, and health

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass a Polygraph.
• 12+ years hardware design experience in IC or microelectronic design/reverse engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; substitutions allowed.
• 14 years experience programming in VHDL/FPGA.
• Proficient with Xilinx FPGA families and Linux (5 years).

Responsibilities

• Designs and tests new ICs and hardware for signal processing applications.
• Develops firmware for DSPs or programmable hardware (ASIC/FPGA).
• Analyzes existing hardware for reverse engineering.
• Modify vendor hardware to meet government needs.
• Lead and mentor other hardware design engineers.
• Coordinate with design teams to ensure project completion.
