Job summary

Amentum/SNS is seeking two experienced Fiber Optic and Conduit Installation Technicians to support structured cabling deployments at classified government and commercial facilities. This on-call role typically runs 2–4 weeks every 2–3 months, scheduled in advance around site access windows.

Secondary tasking includes support of WIDS sensor installations and compliance with safety and access protocols. Qualified candidates will have active TS/SCI clearance, 3+ years of hands-on fiber installation

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on fiber installation including fusion splicing.
• Proficiency in EMT and RMC conduit bending (hand and power/bending machines).
• OTDR testing and fiber certification experience.
• Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS.

Responsibilities

• Bend and install EMT/conduit for fiber paths, including overhead and underfloor runs.
• Pull, route, terminate, and label OS2/OM3/OM4 fiber per standards.
• Perform fusion splicing and field terminations using approved methods.
• Install patch panels, enclosures, splice trays, and jumpers.
• Conduct fiber certification testing (OTDR, loss) and document results.
• Pull/terminate CAT6A STP for sensor drops and IDF connections.
• Assist WIDS sensor installation, equipment staging, and above-ceiling work.
• Follow all safety standards and access protocols for classified facilities.
