Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deployment Network Engineer to support network design, deployment, and integration of customer systems. The role focuses on configuring devices, troubleshooting issues, and creating documentation for mission-critical networks in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have 3–5 years in network engineering, experience with CLI, WAN/LAN routing, and cloud networking (Azure ExpressRoute/Virtual Networks).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience and 3-5 years in network engineering.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices and working within CLI environments.
• Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols for efficiency and resiliency.
• Understanding of cloud networking technologies, including ExpressRoute and Azure Virtual Networks.
• Understanding of Layer 1 technologies, including cabling, media converters, circuits, and Demarcation.
• Experience creating network diagrams and rack elevations.
• Familiarity with network security appliances and traffic management.
• Experience with WAN and routing technologies (BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN).
• Valid driver's license and passport; ~50% travel to locations outside the local area.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, deployment, and implementation of customer network systems and infrastructure.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, including applying patches and config changes.
• Develop technical documentation for customer systems and objectives.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, rack elevations, and cable drawings.
• Collaborate with Microsoft and customer personnel on strategies, network operations, and controls.
