Job summary

Frontier Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer/Technical Services Manager in Colorado Springs. The role blends hands-on DevOps work with people leadership, coordinating staff and mentoring teammates across the engineering organization.

You will work closely with Engineering Managers and cross-functional teams to automate processes, maintain cloud infrastructure, and enforce container standards while supporting security and CI/CD operations in AWS/GovCloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Six or more years of DevOps engineering experience.
• Previous leadership experience including team leadership or mentorship.
• Hands-on automation with Ansible.
• Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and automation.
• Experience with Git-based repositories and GitLab preferred.
• Practical AWS/GovCloud experience; Terraform for IaC.
• Experience building automation for CI/CD and observability tools.
• Scripting in Bash and Python is required.
• Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC that satisfies 8140 requirements.
• U.S. citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Advance hands-on DevOps engineering work (~90%).
• Coordinate staffing across the space portfolio for projects.
• Lead coaching, feedback, and career development for engineers.
• Promote team culture built on trust, inclusion, accountability, and safety.
• Monitor workload, morale, and objectives; adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with managers to support priorities and staffing needs.
• Ensure cross-team communication and visibility across the organization.
