Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevOps System Engineer to support a U.S. Air Force program in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The role focuses on sustainment, CI/CD, and cloud migration for a mission-critical application with hybrid onsite expectations.

The candidate will design secure on-prem infrastructure, implement DevSecOps practices, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliable software delivery. 5+ years of sys/DevSecOps experience and TS/SSCI considerations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance; Top Secret preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in system engineering and DevSecOps.
• IAT II certifications such as CySA+, Security+, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure, scalable on-premises infrastructure.
• Collaborate with teams to support application and infrastructure requirements.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring for legacy applications.
• Monitor performance, resolve issues, and improve reliability.
• Implement DevSecOps security controls and best practices.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment incidents.
• Administer and maintain Linux/Windows servers.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance operations.
