Job summary

ACT1 Federal is seeking a seasoned defense-supply chain professional for the Aviation division. This role requires an Active TS/SCI clearance and focuses on mapping critical suppliers, assessing risk, and developing recovery plans to maintain production schedules for government programs.

You will collaborate with prime contractors and government agencies to analyze supplier performance, explore alternate sources, and ensure timely deliveries in a demanding defense environment in Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of defense/aerospace supplier management, procurement, supplier development, supplier quality or industrial-based experience.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop an end-to-end map of critical suppliers and dependencies below the prime contractor.
• Identify sole-source, single-source, fragile-source, foreign-source, and long-lead dependencies.
• Examine material lead times, purchase-order coverage, supplier schedules, demand signals, and delivery performance.
• Determine root causes of supplier problems across prime contractor, engineering, and funding.
• Coordinate action with prime, DCMA, DLA, engineering authorities, contracting personnel and other government bodies.
• Track supplier milestones: hiring, tooling, material, capital investment, qualification, first-article, quality, delivery.
