Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to outline, develop and implement data engineering solutions for sensitive data environments. The role requires a strong working knowledge of NiFi, Linux, data ontologies, and structured data formats (XML, CSV, JSON) with database experience (MySQL/NoSQL) and analytic query experience.

Qualifications

• 14 years experience as a system engineer required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 5 additional years as a system engineer may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Outline, develop and implement data engineering solutions for the DCI team.
• Work with NiFi in a Linux environment and interact with data ontologies and structured data types (XML, CSV, JSON).
• Document data flows supporting data routing implementations and ingestion into customer repositories.
• Knowledge of Java and Splunk is highly desired.
