Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer with active TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance to drive data extraction, analytics, and complex software projects.

The role includes serving as a technical lead across multiple teams and defining data strategies for mission-critical systems. Required are extensive Java/NIFI experience, data tooling knowledge (XML/CSV/JSON), and a technical degree.

Qualifications

• 20 years of software engineering experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; four extra years of software engineering may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with data enrichment/conversion methods and familiarity with data ontologies/schemas.

Responsibilities

• Devise strategies to extract meaning from structured and unstructured data.
• Apply statistical methods and ML to discover patterns.
• Use DataXplorer and GMAE to present datasets as stories.
• Collaborate with customer teams to understand mission needs.
• Lead multiple software teams and select development processes.
• Develop simple data queries for databases or data repositories.
