Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Systems Engineer to outline, develop, and implement data engineering solutions with a focus on NiFi, Linux environments, and data ontologies.

You will handle schema interactions (XML/CSV/JSON), database work (MySQL/NoSQL), and analytic queries to support ingestion into customer repositories. Strong knowledge of JAVA and Splunk is highly desirable, along with experience in SOA, dataflow design, and agile development.

Qualifications

• 14 years experience as a system engineer required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 5 years substitution possible.

Responsibilities

• The DCI team seeks a Systems Engineer to outline, develop and implement data engineering solutions.
• Work with NiFi, Linux, data schemas, and various data formats to support ingestion into customer repositories.
• Document data flows and data routing implementations; define interfaces and data characteristics.
