Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions is looking for a Systems Engineer in Maryland to develop and implement data engineering solutions. The role requires a clear understanding of smart data systems and entails extensive experience in various technical aspects, including JAVA and Splunk.

This is a full-time position offering an attractive salary range of $220,000 - $230,000 annually and a comprehensive benefits package including 25 PTO days and 100% employer-paid healthcare.

Qualifications

• 14 years experience as a system engineer required.
• 5 additional years of experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• Must have a working knowledge of NiFi.

Responsibilities

• Outline, develop and implement data engineering solutions.
• Work with IC-provided data sets to identify, map and model data.
• Document new and existing data flows supporting data routing.

Skills

Working knowledge of smart data systems and entitlements

Experience with JAVA

Experience with Splunk

Experience in agile development models

Database experience (MySQL/NoSQL)

Experience with structured data types (XML, CSV, JSON)

Experience integrating COTS and GOTS products

Experience developing secure compliant solutions

Education

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
