Job summary

AV is seeking a Data Scientist or experienced Data Analyst to support mission-focused data analysis and deliver actionable insights from complex datasets, including geospatial/GIS, time-series analysis, natural language processing, and large language model usage.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, with Python, SQL, and Jupyter Notebook/Lab proficiency. ITAR/EAR compliance and TS/SCI clearance are considerations. AV offers a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data science, data analysis, or related role.
• Experience with geospatial/GIS, time-series analysis, NLP, and LLM usage for analytical tasks.
• Programming experience with Python, Bash, SQL.
• Experience with Jupyter Notebook/Lab and data libraries (Pandas, Geopandas, NumPy, PySpark, SciPy, Plotly).
• Experience with ETL, data cleaning, data management, analytics, and visualization.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and assess analytic models tailored to mission-specific needs.
• Apply data science techniques to geospatial/GIS, time-series, and NLP datasets.
• Communicate conclusions using mathematical and statistical methods.
• Develop reproducible workflows and ensure data integrity.
• Organize, clean, and curate large datasets for analysis.
• Present complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
