Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a TS/SCI cleared Data Operations Engineer to support the US Air Force Joint Fires Network in Honolulu, HI. This full‑time, on‑site role focuses on managing real‑time data ingest operations, monitoring data quality, and delivering mission‑critical data feeds.

The ideal candidate will have 5–15 years in data engineering, strong Python scripting, data visualization skills, and experience with real‑time streaming and multiple data formats.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5–15 years of data engineering or related experience.
• At least 1 year of real-time data streaming experience.
• Proficiency with Python, JSON and XML, and Linux.
• Experience with data streaming tools such as Kafka, Confluent Platform, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support continuous data ingest operations and monitor pipeline health.
• Visualize data findings through dashboards for leadership.
• Communicate real‑time and historical trends using data tools.
• Collaborate with platform, software, and data engineering teams to improve pipelines.
• Work with Excel, CSV, JSON, and XML data formats across pipelines.
• Develop automation to monitor real‑time data feeds and issue alerts.
