Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Joint Fires Network Engineer to support mission-critical defense communications and global network operations at Scott AFB, IL. The role involves configuring, monitoring, and restoring secure network services across complex transport and IP infrastructures to ensure uninterrupted connectivity for national defense missions.

Candidates should have 4+ years in network engineering or NOC, hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/MPLS, and hold a TS/SCI clearance

Qualifications

• 4+ years in network engineering, operations, or NOC environments.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, MPLS, SDH/SONET, and optical transport.
• Strong incident management and 24x7 shift experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ CE) certification.

Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and analyze circuits across routers, switches, and optical transport.
• Perform real-time circuit rerouting and network restoration during outages.
• Collaborate with internal teams and government stakeholders for network availability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network alarms and resolve incidents through full lifecycle.
• Support change management including hardware replacements and software updates.
