Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Data Layer Engineer to design and optimize data transformation workflows for geospatial and non-geospatial datasets in support of USSOUTHCOM J26 ENHANCED DOMAIN AWARENESS.

The role involves ETL, data governance, metadata cataloging, and working with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise, and cloud storage (AWS/Azure/GCP). You will also support Kubernetes-hosted geospatial apps and comply with DoD/IC data security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent data governance experience.
• Experience building and managing data governance programs.
• Experience with metadata and data cataloging solutions.
• Knowledge of DoD/IC data security policies.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize data transformation workflows for geospatial and non-geospatial data.
• Execute ETL processes, data structuring, and schema management.
• Work with ESRI geospatial layers, ArcGIS Enterprise, and cloud geospatial services.
• Utilize databases including PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, and NoSQL.
• Manage cloud storage such as AWS S3, Azure Blob, and Google Cloud Storage.
• Support Kubernetes-hosted geospatial applications.
