Job summary

Peraton in Laurel, MD is seeking a System Administrator to join the Cyber Intelligence team. You will support IT systems, manage UNIX and Windows environments, and provide Tier 1/2 assistance on a national security program hosted on large-scale compute clusters and AWS.

A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. A technical bachelor’s degree is required or five years SA experience in lieu, plus DoD 8570 Security+ certification.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Security+ (DoD 8570 compliant)

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
• Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components.
