Job summary

Peraton is seeking a skilled Cloud Administrator to support the Cyber Intelligence team in Laurel, MD. You will manage large Hadoop/Cloud clusters and help build cloud solutions on AWS for national security missions.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a STEM degree or equivalent experience, and 5 years in a related field. You will work with Linux, scripting, Kubernetes, and security best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics, or 5 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Five (5) years of experience is required.
• Hadoop/Cloud System Administrator Certification or comparable Cloud Certification with one of: AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
• Advanced SSH tunneling & proxies, rysn, pdsh, pdcp, WinSCP knowledge desired.
• Knowledge of VLANs, port channel bonding, and Layer 2/3 switch interactions.
• Familiarity with HAProxy and nginx load balancers.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and log aggregation tools like Elasticsearch/Logstash.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance on large Hadoop/Cloud clusters.
• Contribute to next-generation cloud solutions on AWS infrastructure and AI/ML-enabled platforms.
• Collaborate within a mission-focused team, following SOPs and integrating guidance from senior resources.
• Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies and expand the technical foundation with the team.
• Plan, communicate, and oversee complex tasks across multiple groups.
