Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Cloud Engineer to deliver scalable cloud solutions for USSOCOM at Fort Liberty, NC. You will automate, tune, and secure platform services while guiding releases to support mission needs.

Applicants must have 5+ years of IT/software experience, DOD 8570 IAT II, and US citizenship. Top Secret/SCI clearance is preferred. This onsite role requires strong communication and the ability to operate in high-availability environments.

Qualifications

• 5 years of IT and/or software experience.
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II required (Level III preferred).
• Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Agile development experience and DevOps methodologies.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows OS, networking, and security practices.
• Proficient with Git and release management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver distributed and managed services; automate installation, configuration, and maintenance of platform services.
• Manage system tuning for reliability and efficiency; guide software releases and support users.
• Ensure system security; troubleshoot problems; stay current with OS/software developments.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience.
