Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a Test Engineer 2 to deliver application and systems testing in a mission-critical Federal environment. You will execute functional and compliance testing, analyze issues, and document results while working with cross-functional teams in a Linux-heavy setup.

The role requires hands-on Linux experience, the ability to work independently, and adherence to strict security and compliance standards. A TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree plus at least five years of relevant testing experience, or ten years of testing experience in lieu of a degree.
• Solid hands-on Linux experience with command-line troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Execute application and systems testing to validate mission requirements.
• Verify interfaces with ITS components while complying with security and operational mandates.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, procedures, and results across testing phases.
• Identify, document, and track defects and validate corrective actions with engineering and operations teams.
• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and log analysis in Linux environments.
• Assist in modernizing test methodologies and expanding automation capabilities.
