Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a Software Test Engineer (Level 2) to support full-lifecycle software testing for mission-critical systems in Columbia, MD. You will design test plans and automated suites, develop Python-based tests, and work with development teams to resolve issues in Linux and Windows environments.

Applicants must hold Active TS/SCI with Polygraph and have the required degree and experience levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 6+ years of software test engineering on similar programs, or
• Master’s degree plus 4+ years of software test engineering, or
• 10+ years of relevant software test engineering experience without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, and automated test suites.
• Configure and maintain dedicated test environments and automation infrastructure.
• Perform integration, acceptance, performance, and security testing.
• Develop automated test scripts in Python and execute tests across Linux and Windows.
• Document results, track defects, and verify issue remediations through verification.
• Support hardware dispatch and troubleshooting workflows in test labs.
