Job summary

Nightwing seeks a Scanning Technician for our Ft. Meade, Maryland client in support of a dynamic Intelligence Community office located on the Ft. Meade campus. Core hours are 0500-1600.

Scanning technicians prepare, scan, and deliver documents for declassification services and for other agencies. A TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph completed within the last seven years is required, along with the ability to move boxes up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant scanning/handling experience.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to document issues to supervisor or sponsor.

Responsibilities

• Label new boxes and record box numbers in a logbook.
• Perform inventory checks to ensure all documents are accounted for before scanning.
• Scan documents and separator sheets; reseal batches as needed.
• Care for and load/unload Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) and clear jams.
• Review scanned documents for accuracy; rescans when needed.
• Document SOPs for preparation, scanning, indexing and equity review.
• Suggest improvements to SOP and present to Sponsor for approval.
• Transport classified data and GFE equipment securely between Sponsor and locations.
